Film Review- Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows (2011)

Directed by Guy Ritchie, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows (2011) is an Action/ Adventure film that follows the story of Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) and his sidekick, Doctor Watson (Jude Law) as they bring down their arch- Nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris).

This film has given me inspiration for the locations of both our 5 -7 minute film, Convictions and out Major Film, Contract. The locations in the film are visually stunning, which lends itself to great Art Direction and Set Design. I have high hopes for Contract in terms of Set Design, as when you read the script, there is a lot of potential for great Props and Design of the locations.

Another reason this film is inspiration for Contract is that it features a charming and dynamic relationship between Homes and Watson, which keeps the story line both clever and interesting. It is for this reason (and others, too) that the film is so exciting and gripping to watch. I have been inspired to help create this kind of relationship between Alan and Mr. Coral in Contract, as a quirky and dynamic chemistry between the two characters will make for an interesting and satisfying narrative.

The film also provides inspiration in terms of clothing, as the 2 main characters dress close to how we envisage Mr. Coral
